The Property
Seedroom is the entire top floor of a private home perched above Plettenberg Bay’s iconic central beach. Designed for a couple with young children or an older couple, the space offers a main bedroom, two sleeper couches, a fully equipped kitchen, lounge, bathroom, and a balcony with uninterrupted sea views.
Main Bedroom
A spacious, tranquil main bedroom with a raised king bed positioned to capture the sea view — so you wake up to the ocean before you even open the curtains. Step directly onto your private stoep from the bedroom and let the sound of the sea greet you. Generous wardrobe space and soft natural light complete the space. Quiet, private, and utterly restful.
En-Suite Bathroom
The en-suite bathroom is spacious and filled with natural light — a calm, unhurried space to begin and end your day. A deep corner bath invites you to slow down, while a separate shower offers a quick refresh after a morning on the beach. The double vanity means no waiting, and the warm neutral tones throughout give the room a quiet, restful feel.
Lounge and Dining Area
The open-plan lounge and dining area stretches across the full width of the top floor, framed by floor-to-ceiling windows that draw the ocean directly into the room. Whether you’re seated at the large dining table or settled into one of the lounge’s generous sofas, Plettenberg Bay’s iconic beach and the Beacon Isle beyond are always within view.
The dining table comfortably seats eight — ideal for long lunches, easy suppers, or morning coffee that stretches into conversation. As the day cools, the fireplace becomes the natural gathering point, casting warmth across a lounge designed for unhurried evenings. There is space here to breathe, to rest, and to simply be.
Fully Fitted Kitchen and scullery
Cooking at Seedroom comes with an unexpected luxury — a front-row view of the Beacon Isle Hotel and the sweeping curve of Plettenberg Bay. The fully fitted kitchen is open to the rest of the living space, so whoever is at the stove is never removed from the conversation.
The kitchen is equipped with everything you need for a comfortable self-catered stay — full appliances, a coffee machine to start your mornings right, and a separate scullery with a washing machine so you can travel light and leave refreshed.
The sleep-nook
Tucked into its own corner of the living space, the sleep nook offers a comfortable sleeper couch for an additional guest or two. Discreet by day and restful by night, it means Seedroom can accommodate a little more without feeling crowded — ideal for a small family or a weekend away with a friend.
The stoep
Step outside and let Plettenberg Bay do the rest. The private stoep wraps the top floor with open sky and uninterrupted views across the bay — the kind of space that makes it impossible to go back inside. Whether you’re watching the sunrise with your first coffee, reading through a slow afternoon, or sharing a glass of wine as the sun drops behind the mountains, the stoep becomes the place you return to again and again.
Accessible directly from the main bedroom, it offers a rare sense of privacy — your own quiet corner of one of South Africa’s most beloved coastlines.
The braai and parking
No South African holiday is complete without a proper braai. Seedroom’s outdoor braai area is yours for the duration of your stay — fire it up in the evening and eat under the open sky with the bay as your backdrop.
Secure, dedicated parking is available on the property, so you can arrive, unpack, and settle in without a second thought.
